"Jogon-in International Art Festival 2025"
Nobunaga's temple is free.
The Jogon-in International Art Festival was held as the "Jogon-in Contemporary Art Exhibition" until last year, and this year marks its 6th anniversary as a contemporary art festival.
The theme for 2025 will be "freedom," and the setting will be Jogan-in Temple (Azuchi, Shiga), which was founded by Oda Nobunaga.
This is an introduction to approximately 40 domestic and international artists who will be exhibiting at Jogon-in Temple.

rooms
Japan's largest number of temple-based art galleries
Artworks are displayed in every space, including the bell tower and attic.
It is a new experience that is different from ordinary art appreciation or temple visits.
It's not just art.
Various events are held on weekends and holidays at the Jogon-in International Art Festival.
Concerts, dance, butoh, talk events, calligraphy classes, tea ceremonies, etc.
I want to enjoy the art festival even more!

Jogon-in Temple is a place that continues the spirit of Oda Nobunaga, who turned his eyes to the world. At the Jogon-in Temple International Art Festival, held in this special place, artists from Japan and abroad will bring new expressions to life through their works. We hope that this will not only be a place to enjoy the exhibitions, but also a place where artists and visitors can interact with each other and create culture.
