Oct 28, 2025

It was featured on NHK News' "Oumi Edition" on the day before the art festival, and on the "Kansai Edition" after the festival.

The summary of the news is as follows:

Every year, Jogan-in Temple exhibits a variety of contemporary art works, including paintings and sculptures.

This time, 41 artists from Japan and abroad participated, including some international artists who actually stayed and created works at Jogon-in Temple.

The news featured the work of Spanish artist Lluís Estopiñan Canals.

On the wall of the temple grounds, there is a large photograph of two children facing each other, and between them, photographs of 500 girls are hung from the ceiling by red thread.

This is a quiet yet powerful installation based on the Japanese sensibility that "people are connected by an invisible red thread."

The program also featured comments from the organizer, Nishimura Nonki.

"I want people to experience the sensation of seeing things for the first time."

Visitors can also enjoy the artistic atmosphere that permeates the temple grounds.

We hope you feel a sense of connection and encounter.
