ACCESS

Ten minutes on foot.
Ten minutes by car.

A historic town known for Oda Nobunaga's Azuchi Castle. Step off at Azuchi Station, wind through the village's narrow lanes, and autumn fields open up before you. Beyond them, the temple roof is already in sight.

Coming by car? Pairing your visit with Omihachiman sightseeing or La Collina might be the smart move.

Oh, and one more thing: there are no restaurants or convenience stores by Azuchi Station. There's more to see than you'd expect, so a packed lunch is a good idea.

Parking

You may park in the gravel area on the temple grounds. Spaces are limited.

If the gravel area is full, you may also park along the farm road south of the temple. This is not an official parking area. The road is narrow, and parked cars can prevent vehicles from passing each other. Please park with great care and do not obstruct traffic.

Rental bicycles

Several bicycle rental shops are just outside Azuchi Station’s north exit.
Combine the art festival with a ride through historic Azuchi.
