Adrià Masero explores the mysteries hidden in everyday life through poetry, painting, and philosophical inquiry, seeking expressions that build bridges between East and West, cultures, and religions. He received the Ernest Lluch Spanish Prose Prize in 2020 and presented an exhibition marking the publication of his prose and poetry collection Tararà in 2025. In September 2026, he stayed at Jogonin Temple with his father, Xavier Masero, to create a joint work.

⬤ About the Artist

From an early age, Adrià Masero has been fascinated by the ineffable mystery of reality, especially as it reveals itself in the simplest and most everyday things. He would contemplate the color of the sky and marvel at the way birds fly with grace and lightness, without apparent effort or awareness of their own movement. Even today, that sense of wonder and amazement continues to sustain his inner passion and drive his artistic, philosophical, and spiritual journey of inquiry.

This inexhaustible interest has led him toward a deeper understanding of his own cultural and natural roots, as well as those of others. His work reflects a sincere desire to build bridges between cultures, religions, and worldviews—especially between East and West—in order to foster a deeper understanding of others, of the self, and of the “living mystery” we all share.

A sense of awe before a reality of which we are a part, yet which also transcends us, and an open, receptive gaze that seeks to see the whole as it is, breathe through all of his work. This spirit can be found in every form of his expression, from highly abstract philosophical writings to concrete and intimate poems and stories.

His influences are wide-ranging, extending across literature, music, film, visual art, philosophy, and religious thought, both Eastern and Western. For him, there is no distinction between popular culture and so-called “high culture.”

In short, Adrià Masero’s work embodies an eclectic and integrative spirit that seeks to embrace everything without excluding anything. In the words of Raimon Panikkar, a philosopher and theologian he deeply admires, it aims to “transform what at first appears to be a dialectical opposition into complementary polarities.”
