Lately, my memory has been poor. So I thought I'd try to create a collection of things and episodes that have stuck in my memory.
This piece has gold leaf and other foils pressed onto it. I believe the technique of foil stamping is something that has become ingrained in the artist's hands. And covering it with foil seems to seal away the memory of that moment.
I captured the memory of this very moment, along with the memory of my hands, by foil stamping, and transformed it into a work of art.
